A Virtual Bible Study via Zoom

In Bible times, women were not supposed to be seen or heard, so almost any notable female character in a Bible story is likely to have done something scandalous, or at least outside the accepted norms of Jewish society. Jesus’ genealogy, as presented in the Gospel of Matthew, includes four such women.

In a four-week Advent Bible study beginning November 21, we will discuss the stories of Jesus’ naughty ancestresses, why they were important then, and what they should mean to us today.

The virtual Bible Study group meets via Zoom on Saturdays at 9:00 AM. New members and visitors are welcome to join one or more sessions. Materials will be sent out ahead of time, and you don’t have to know anything about the Bible to participate fully. Each session stands alone, so missing one would not be a problem.
