As we begin the fall Connect season, the Writers Group has decided to meet virtually every other week on Wednesdays at 4 o'clock via Zoom. We will be trying something a little different. The Zoom invitation will include a prompt for the next meeting, so we will have two weeks to compose our masterpieces. Writers are asked to send out their pieces by email to all participants a day or two before the meeting. We have found that the spoken word has more impact if it has not been "tamed" by prior silent reading, so recipients are asked not to read the submissions ahead of time. After each reading, there will be a brief discussion and helpful comments before moving on to the next piece.
If you do not have Zoom, you will need to download the Zoom app to allow you to join the group. Please let Lyn know if you need technical assistance. (Please ask for help a day or two ahead of time as there will not be time to walk you through the process on Wednesday at 4 o'clock.)
